Windows XP and Sound

Anyone know why XP still doesn’t enable the taskbar volume control after adding new soundcard drivers even though the box “Place volume control on taskbar” is checked in control panel? It’s these little annoyances that keep me up at night.

I have similar feelings towards the Windows XP classic start menu. I want that thing to go to hell and never come back. What was Billy Bob thinking when he created the monster that is the classic start menu? =)
Don’t get me started on the personalized start menu option. That thing makes me want to go crazy every time I see someone with it enabled, and I’m trying to find something that’s not commonly used, such as “startup.”
You ever notice that when you create custom toolbars on the taskbar for a drive letter, when navigating it commonly causes explorer to crash?
I could go on and on about things I hate about windows…..
Unfortunatly, I don’t know what causes it, but I know what you mean. >.
