TV Problems again

After my first 721 Dish Network Reciever arriving dead, Dish replaced it for free and even cross-shipped. The second worked great, until now. The Electronic Guide stopped working and this is a known problem in their software. I called support and they say it was supposed to be fixed in firmware version 1.76 (I’m running 1.75, the latest), which was supposed to be out in May 2005. The tech offered me a replacement, no more questions asked, but I have 90+ hours worth of recorded materials on it, most of which is unwatched. Anyone else know that the one they ship me is just going to break the same way when it gets flashed to 1.75? I’m almost ready to try cable again.
